Another fantasy illustration. This one from the book Night of the Necromancer. Description sounded like thisA close-up on the Death Acolyte’s head and shoulders. He is dressed from head to toe in long black robes, his head hooded, his face hidden by a grotesque skull-mask, his sinister eyes visible through the holes of the skull’s eye-sockets. In one hand he is holding up a glowing crystal ball that seems to swirl with internal storm-clouds, the eerie light coming from the sphere reflecting in the acolyte’s eyes.

Hi Morten
Did you attend Stephen Player’s illustration class by any chance? Stephen illustrated one of my gamebooks – Stormslayer – and then used the art brief I sent him with his illustration class. I then sent him more art briefs for other gamebooks, for him to use – Howl of the Werewolf and Night of the Necromancer.
I would love to use some of your images in the history of Fighting Fantasy gamebooks that I am currently writing, if that’s alright, and maybe ask you a few questions about your art.
I need to send the book to the publisher at the start of June, so the sooner you can get back to me the better.
