she's so lovely
yet she's hurting
for she knows this world
that it's cold and ugly, yet shes learning
to take her problems
forget they exist
go and hide in her scars and wounds
that she creates to take away the pain

but she knows that

if only she knew
     others would hurt for her
if only she knew
     two wounds make two scars
if only she would just think
of that person who loves her
     he wishes he could take her tears
          and bottle them
if only he could steal her pain
     and take away the sickness and hurt
           even make them his own

if only he could be enough
     to be enough
          for her to know
