interesting subject....
however, "sterility" jumped out at me.
i believe you could choose a more descriptive word in context, because i'm certain you were not going for the negative connotation that "sterile" evokes.

play off the favored finding neverland metaphor and go for "boyhood" or "innocence"...
i'm not exactly certain, but you're the poet. (at first i typed "pooet". ha.)
