Description
how could i be so ignoranthow could i not see that little girl
on bended knee
offering me her dress
unwillingly accepting
the fatigue of her purity
and in the rainlight
and the moonfall
she comforts me
tracks missing beams
rails kinked and bent
nails askew, rusted, amiss
how could i not see
the wreck to come
just keep playing
play it to the bone
this toy been bbroken
my ignorance unknown
hold tight to your blanket
you tore it those times
patch after lonely patch
once a blankie, now a quilt
of scorn and tears
square of repair
substancial nothingness
a three dimensional figure
only as deep as it is colorful
as it it true
and she offers it to me...
as her only gift
new to the journey
open for the ride...
