Description
with liquid playfulnessand soapy passion
this wand comitted
to your every breath
as i did then
surface tension to match
the thickness of my nerves
squirming only in my heart
as i watch you watch the world
not caring for your gaze
asmuch as i long for its chill
not willing to accept the truth
of physics and inertia
this gracefully balanced sphere
longs to be caressed by my hand
if only a way
these tears could compensate
make up for my lack of shine
yet your eyes glisten more
and make up for my lack of luster
complementing my attentive smile
guilty of rudeness
focus into stare
the axis of this bubble
shifts to the center of the moment
let it float by
reach out
only when you look away
resume the facade
when your gaze return
pretending as nothing
that my attention is only your eyes
smile, laugh, youre more than a faerie tale
more than the reality of the body next to me
more than that smile
more than your wings
the ones i gave to you
in exchange for this poem
youre inspiration to my pen
let me take flight
if only for a moment
i shall accept the fate of icarus
if only this bubble i could catch tonight

not bad, although the allusion to icarus is slightly overused.
nonetheless, nice metaphor.
