RD: Hey! I'm not! I eat lot of them when I can... and it can get expensive.
S: Well, enjoy them. You paid for them anyway.
RD: Huh? Wait, what? I didn't pay..

RD: You said you were going to pay!
S: I didn't! They never gave me a bill, so I suspected that you paid for that.
RD: I DIDN'T. Oh no.... This is bad... very bad! They will think we stole them and....
Pinkie Pie: *giggle* Don't worry silly, I paid for them!

At this moment, Pinkie Pie appeared to their left, floating with the help of a dozen of balloons, a big smile on her face.

S: Oh yeah. Hello Pinkie.
PP: Hello....... Soarin' right?
S: Yes, that's me.
RD: Back to the waffles.... you paid for the waffles?
PP: Yes I did. When I saw you coming at the Sugarcube Corner, you really surprised me to come with him... and taking all our waffles! I was so happy to see you with someone Dashie!
RD: Uh... Pinkie Pie... we are not.. quite...
PP: So, to congratulate you both, I took the bill for the waffles and.... WHAT!!!! You didn't eat all of them?!?!
RD: Well, you see....
S: We're kinda.... full. And it would be harder to us to fly, so....

Pinkie pulled her tongue between her front hooves and used it like a lasso to grab the remaining pile of pastries and make it reel back in her mouth, chew it a couple of times before gulping it down. Soarin' was astonished and his jaw dropped.
PP: Thanks!
She then used her mane to take needle from her mane and popped three balloons which made her go down.
PP: Bye guys! If you are interested, we baked pies this morning. See you later!
Soarin' still agap looked at her leaving.
S: H..... how did she..... With her...Β And she gulped them like... Did... did she said pies?
Rainbow Dash was staring at him, frowning.
RD: You better never ask. I don't know either how. I stopped wondering a long time. And yes, we'll get one later.

Yeah. At the beginning, it was supposed to be only the two of them. But gradually, I felt it needed something.... or rather somepony...
And Pinkie's randomness shown at Soarin' for the first time was a must.
