**PLEASE FULL VIEW** Im sorry its large, but dA's image condenser butchers the image quality hahaVehemence , a sword that embodies avarice. Wielded by Higuan Magnanimous, Vehemence is a potentially incredibly tough sword to overcome. A kidou/melee based sword, Vehemence drains spirit energy with every strike and collision with sources of power. An added strength of Vehemence's ability is that repetitive strikes against or with Vehemence will cause it to drain energy more and more voraciously, quickly debilitating the enemy if they are distracted. Vehemence has an odd condition to his final release, however. Vehemence demands a minimum amount of drained spiritual energy from the enemy before it will be satiated enough to enter the final release. The crystal in the centre of the hilt is an indicatory of this, when it is larger than the space available, it is ready. Once in it's final release, the crystal will continue to grow ravenously as Higuan continues his assault, lending him more and more power.

I really need to start commenting on all your 'Final Release' stuff; I've been looking at them all - and mean to come back for a word or two.
You still pump out some of the coolest sword designs I see ~ this one is no exception, Vehemence is badass. \o/
I like your sense of motion and overall shading, flows really nicely - I have no real criticisms apart from you could try giving some harder tones to create a bit more depth around the edges of skin / cloth - but you could easily pass it off as the lighting of the land in this piece.
As for the background; nothing more you can do apart from practice here and there and you'll naturally get better - you'll be looking back with a 'Man, I can't believe my backgrounds looked like that' attitude.
And good use of Higgens (Whom I had no idea had a deviantART at all, lol) photo stocks.
