Not really very realistic I know, I'm just trying to get my basic "shapes" for animals better, I used this Tiger picture as a ref: [link]
and this komodo dragon picture for the scales, and slightly for the head:

overall I still don't really like it, that's why I'm posting now rather than doing a background. :/ the basic shape of spyro here still looks wonky to me, I also tried to adapt the grayscale fur method, but for scales here, that I think came out pretty well.
