i saw some "theories" on that
but until it's shown to be canon i'm not worried
really it's just fans guessing and it looks to be a stretch 

i mean Eclipsa did marry a monster but Toffee looks nothing like them and shows no mewni traits 
so i see Toffee as most likely just a warrior (possible a knight to Eclipsa?) which would makes sense
of his fighting armor and his anger towards Star and hating the wand etc.

i mean mewni queen+ huge four eyed horned striped human like redish demon = grey lizard man???
i highly doubt it

i saw someone who is in the shows group say like
"your playing with fire" to someone who asked about the ship on twitter
tho i don't follow every tweet

but so far any answers from them were no answer or words that
are hugely open to interpretation cause their is no way their going to 
reveal anything that might spoil the show this soon... heh but i mean
the shows always been weird i am excited to maybe learn of the older queens
and learn more of Moon Butterfly's history as well as Toffee's
