Description
The chivalric champion Castellan has many enemies, one of whom is the Giant King, Ysbadden. This often leads to warriors of his realm wandering out of Faerie to "avenge" their king on the hero. This is one such case.Castellan is created by and copyright of, Andrew W. Rowland.

I like this one a lot. one of your better ones by far. the action is clean and concise, and even if you didn't know the names or back stories of the characters you still get a clean picture of them and can easily fill in the blanks.
Smooth lines and shading with the coloration makes for a nice classic Cartoon/comic look.

Thanks catsi, I appreciate the comment. I've got to say, after I finished the pic, my biggest concern (which I didn't consider while drawing) was that the giant looked way too much like the Genie from Disney's Aladdin. Nobody brought it up though, so I guess I got lucky.

It's interesting seeing a character so heavily steeped in mythology yet kitted out like a CHECKMATE shocktrooper (or a Welsh Deadline).
Good to see him pop up again.

CHECKMATE I remember, but only the Knights...who, despite having black and gold in their outfits, didn't really look like Castellan. Deadline...I have no memory of, but I'm going to assume some costume elements must be similar.
Anyhoo, it was fun drawing Castellan again and I have some splash pages planned for some other characters coming up.
