Description Alan Turney grew up an engineer in a world of heroes and villains. He was brilliant, but not as exceptional as men and women who could leap tall buildings or call lightning down from the sky. He always believed he could be though, for didn't there have to be a source for the powers they wielded that bent and sometimes broke the laws of physics? He spent his youth, all the way through grad school searching for that source and more importantly, how to harness that source. It wasn't until he was 30 years of age that he actually discovered what he sought. Or at least he believes he has. He discovered an energy field that exists coterminus with our dimension that behaves like no energy he'd ever heard of. Like light it seemed to have the properties of both particle and wave, but when put "under pressure by a magnetic field, it behaves like a solid. After his discovery, it took him another year to harness the energy and another after that to refine the technology where it could be contained in a portable form. Another year of testing and he was ready for action. At 33 years of age, Alan achieved his life long dream of becoming a super-hero.

The learning curve has been steep. Despite his success in harnessing the mysterious "Dark Energy" that he draws his power from and building the battlesuit he channels that power through, his career as a hero has had some rocky patches. Still, if Alan has anything, it's the obsessive drive to achieve his goals, so he is determined to be the best hero he can be. It doesn't hurt his cause that his pursuit has led him to develop several unique technologies and license their use, which has netted him a tidy sum. The Dark Energy tech he keeps for himself for the time being.

Alan's "Knight Hawk" armor provides him with a variety of capabilities that allow him to pursue his avocation as a hero. It boost his strength and durability, permits him to fly and has a whole suite of sensory enhancements. The most potent ability it has is to use magnetic fields to form weaponry out of the Dark Energy. These weapons are light, but have a dramatic, energistic reaction when they impact an object with force. They impart far more energy on impact than their weight or Alan's strength could possibly account for, cleaving concrete and steel readily. This reactive force means Alan must be extremely careful when using these weapons against "soft targets". Very often he'll not manifest them at all against non-superhumans, relying on his armor's physical enhancements and combat programs to get him through

He's always improving and refining his armor because if there's one thing he's discovered, super-tech is an arms race and he intends to hold his own.

If they were to hit a cross-dimensional whatchamawhosis...maybe. Maybe they'd just wander around whappin' badguys on the top of the head.

It would be cool if you went back and colored all your recent art work, save for GateCrashers, it started in b&w for and it should stay b&w.

One of the reason's I haven't is I'm letting my pens die off as I get ready to receive my tablet and switch to digital coloring. Maybe digital line work too.

Can't wait to see you do that!

Hopefully it won't take too long to get the hang of it. While currently I prefer working it old school, I feel like a bit of a dinosaur and the appreciation for hand coloring is pretty much gone.

Plus, with a more modern platform I'll be able to start producing full finished comic pages without chasing around digital artists to help me put it all together.
