Description
To think that many years ago, Sagacious was the first of my SonicFCs to appear in my gallery. And she's the first of my FCs to get coloured traditionally after doing gifts and whatnot for a very long time, heh.
Before this, I was struggling for a long while about how to draw her. I wanted to "update" her design, but the new look just doesn't quite fit her. It involved really high peaked fringe instead of the ones you'd see here. I took inspiration from the gift art drawn by KetLike (go give her a watch! >:V She's awesome and diverse and really cool), and with a slight alteration to her outfit, I'm pretty satisfied with this latest version of Sagacious's design.
I'd also done some tweaking to her concept, wanting to make my Sonic FCs feel like they actually belong in the world rather than to shove my original ideas into it. She's now a Follower of Light Gaia, guided by that little Light Gaia fairy thing that acts as her mentor, and the doppelganger behind her is an entity of Dark Gaia who is bonded to Sagacious. The entity is also responsible for some of Sagacious's powers, namely dark-related powers, aside from her own innate light powers. These two entities are invisible to everyone else in my cast, making her look as if she's talking to herself if someone were to catch her arguing over the next course of action.

Mmmmm, what is it, what is it? An UPDATED DESIGN you say??
Honestly, Sagacious looks really cool here~ And those two entities are tempting me to draw them. The idea to make them Light and Dark Gaia "spirits" is great and I like that concept! Like, since Gaia has two sides, so of course one should have both entities on their back for balance X3
Also I can't help myself but imagine the possible meeting of Sagacious and Flo, cause she actually can see any spirits are ghosts that are not normally visible. owo Like: "Hey, you know that you are followed by two weird spirits? ( ・_・)ノ" "...YOU CAN SEE THEM?? Σ(°ロ°)"

Yep! :'D She's had the "same" design for almost 10 years (man I sound old haha), so it's time that I update her design and make it less... painful to look at for me, so to say. xD
Thank you very much for your compliment~ I like to think that Light and Dark Gaia had "spirits" that serve their respective cause. The inspiration came from the Dark Gaia minions we had to defeat in Unleashed, so I thought "hey, if Dark Gaia can have these, why not Light Gaia?" And BAM Whitney and Jakle are born, though back then, they served my original deities that I'd made that I'd now scrapped. xD I thought that it'd be easier to just stick to what Unleashed already offered instead of re-inventing the wheel.
Yeeeeeeees I love that sort of character interaction! <3 I like to think that not everyone can see spirits or entities, unless the spirits make themselves known. Sagacious is one of the (un)lucky few who can see them, so Flo being able to see them would be a massive surprise and relief for her~ xD Until Whitney takes notice and talks to Flo-

Pffft, tell me about being old x'D I still can't believe that at my 28 I'm still a Sonic fan to the point I keep making new chars. What I'm doing with my life...
And it's always fun to look at your old designs and think: "Hmm, what I could improve here?". So I'm glad to hear that Sagacious is now much better in your eyes~
True-true, sounds about right to add the other side its minions as well. I wish we could see more of other gods or entities in the games, but, welp, we are working with what we have X')
Same thoughts, same thoughts! I can't say that Flo is very happy with this power, but at least it helps her with her duties, heh.

I can't imagine how we'd do in a few more years. xD I think we're just going to be those cool adults who knows what having fun truly means, and I'm not just talking about it from a Sonic fan's perspective.
This just means there's no end to updating our characters' design, but I'm definitely up for that!
Understandable. A lot of stories local to my region have touched on the responsibilities that come with being able to see spirits all the time. Though, come to think of it, I just realised that Sagacious was not meant to be able to see spirits like how Flo could. ^^" She's more-so bothered by the fact that none of her friends can see Whitney making funny business on them. My apologies for the slight mix-up.
Whitney may be aligned with Dark Gaia, but she's not as bad as one might think. c: She's that friend who would urge you to do risky rebellious actions, all for the sake of enjoying life... even if her host isn't as naive as she'd want her to be. Whitney speaks whatever goes through her mind, so she'd be very chatty towards Flo, for a start. :'D

have to say first of all i do like her design, the sandles are a nice fitting choice of clothing to the rest of her outfit, i don't often see characters that wear pants that nice maybe cause you draw chars too good : U XD
Nexxxxttt your anatomy is always fun to watch you have a distinguishing style of drawing characters and I LIKE IT : U ( specially the eyes and feet) ILL ALWAYS KNOW
i like how you placed the Whitney behind Saga in a way that makes it look very secretly influential on the character

nice ideas i like how you just stuck to following the sonic system but doing so in a way that makes sense and is simple. I do like the fact she's a follower of light gaia and Jakle happens to be a mentor ( i did not expect that hahah xDD

You are not wrong about Whitney having some influence over Sagacious c: She's been with Sagacious for nearly her whole life, though Sagacious resists Whitney's temptations on a daily basis xD Jakle is just shaking his head at Whitney, cause he wishes he can intervene. But Sagacious needs all the training she can get, and resisting Whitney's temptations is a good way to improve her willpower :y
You should've seen what I'd done before I decided to keep to Light Gaia and Dark Gaia xD I had a pantheon of deities, but that felt too messy :V So I scrapped the idea and just use things I knew from Unleashed... and voila :"D Ideas have changed, but the main concept for Sagacious remained the same, and for that I am proud of~
