Shotgun and Magnum do just fine for me on Halo 3, Magnum with headshots do take down Floods.

I like it balanced. That way I can shot Zombies far away that HAVE to get close to me to use that worthless Sword, and if they manage to get close enough BULLTRUE that shit to the Moon with my Shotty!
