Description
Now, this is an idea that I got watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos, many years ago, and it stuck in the back of my mind... (This looms in the background in my City entry, and I'm too sleepy to make the link right now). So, there's this floating thing akin to a jellyfish, that just soars trough the atmosphere, till it captures some of those tubular guys, that are basically living turbines, that suck and expel air so they impulse themselves. The jellyfish is a slaver. And so it travels as a living air chariot.
Off to sleep now...

I really like this piece a lot. Your rendering is exquisite, and the concept is very well done. Are they symbionts, or does the jellyfish-creature parasitize the turbine creatures?

Intriguing concept, the piece is well done as well.

Really great, i've seen (and drawn) "floating gas-bags" before, but the slaver-thing is a good twist!

I rather like how the creature takes on the form of a spaceship *is into pseudoscientific Yuuzhan Vong from Star Wars books, who use said bioships*

JELLYFISH DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
You see, jellies have tentacles that sting, because the tentacles are very fragile. The jelly has to paralyze its prey quickly before it has a chance to free itself by breaking off the tentacle. So you see, a setup like this isn't likely to work.
Just my two cents.

Of all the stuff you do I love your crazy creatures the best. I love the way the tentecles have started to sort of merge with one of the fishy guys. The rows of teeth are good too.

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet (cause I am way too fucking lazy to read all the comments) but I immediately get an overtly sexual vibe from this artwork. It seems as if it is a giant sperm using orificies as fuel rockets! Damn! can u imagine how painful that would be? or what the fuck that thing would breed?? Crazy shit!! good job!

yo I think I am gonna make a deviation depicting the kinda monstrosity that a sperm like that would create. I'll notify u when the deviation is complete so u can check it out

Wow, this is disgustingly awesome.. I'd hate to be downwind of anything organic that 'expels air', though.
Cool stuff. You should make concept art for alien-based videogames, providing you can come up with other nifty creatures such as this.
Congratulations! This deviation has earned you one (1) partial gallery view!
