I just got off with NamIne14, and she theorized that while Vanitas and Sora are remotely connected through Ventus, the fact that Ventus and Sora are directly connected by heart may have closed a sort of "gap." We see Ven's heart as incomplete at the start of bbs, and it should be common sense that Vanitas's heart is virtually the same... So basically, the theory goes that this "gap" of the heart acts as a sort of "leak" for Vanitas's emotions, the contents of which take the form of monster's simply because they have a means to escape the confines of the host's mind. (Host being Vanitas in this case.) The proposal is that Ventus cannot create monster's of his own, simply due to Sora having sealed this "gap." (I cleary spend WAY too much time thinking about these things...) Β Β Β
