A great image. Might be helpful to lighten the two runners slightly - they get a bit lost at less than full view, and since you did name the picture for them...

Half an hour with GIMP/ PS, selecting some areas, and adjust the intensity curves would do a lot for this. Possibly not even selecting. Definitely worth the time!
