wth, can`t use "!" in title? ah well w/e.More eve online! Because one of my corp mates was like "zomg do tempest too"

Perhaps rather than the Tempest, this should be the Vargur? I mean, the T2 variants of ships are really just recolors. IMO CCP should create ship models that are BASED on the T1 ship class that they say they are. Your Typhoon remodel should be the Minmatar Black Ops, the Panther. I could see that fitting very well. And this, would most definitely be awesome as the red and earthy Vargur Maurauder. Looks more heavily armoured/shielded/whatever, and generally like a "Tech 2" ship should.

Make them do this! Im tired of being a laughing stock for playing Minmatar. I love them as a race and their story. Plus the newer ships dont match the old ones. They deserve some respect and attention. CCP has some vids on youtube. Look at the ones about "the future of EVE online" the very last bit shows ship customization where the fittings you choose change the layout of the ship. Like an afterburner changes the entire engine section of the ship and shield boosters put large shield-emitter vanes on the sides, etc. I hope theyre saving ship redesigns for whatever patch launches that feature - if ever.

Wow, this looks awesome and I would like to fly a Tempest that looks like your Design for it.
It's one of the Reasons while I'm not really sure to fly it yet, the "crapy" design.

this addresses the main problems of the phoon which are a) weak looking structure and b) random crap made worse by bad modeling
i do think the symmetry takes away from some of the charm, but this is forgivable!

Very cool. Extreamly good perspective, ok composion and defenately inspiringly awesome.
There are a few things you could do to improve it...I would play around more with lighting, perhaps make it look backlit (give it a white outline around most of it...not all of it, just most of it) and probably add more stuff in the background to give it a little more visual interest. However, you are one talented dude and I think this is great as is.

This is great! I've always been curious about EVE Online - mainly because it reminds me so much of Homeworld. The ship designs are beautiful, and you've done them justice.
I'm curious as to what you used in this piece. It looks like it's been done in Photoshop with a tablet, but I suppose you could have scanned a sketch and done some postwork, as well.
