As you may remember this picture[link]
Dexter has made a formula that made DeeDee bloated so that she would be too big get inside Dexter’s Laboratory.
After eating all the cookies in the jar, DeeDee thought she would go see Dexter and give him compliments about those delicious cookies. Though she’s having trouble trying to get to the lab due to her size and she can’t get the cookie jar off her head.

Well, when we look at this one, I can see it as the adaption of the space episode of Dexter's Lab, as you no doubt meant it to be. What you could do is look at the shows episodes and see what you can work on from there.
For example, in the Powerpuff Girls, I can remember two weight gain points: when they are eating the broccoli invaders and when the become addicted to candy.
In the case of Mike from Mike Lu and Ogg, when the JuuJuu bomb production was built.
If you look at the cartoons, see what you can do from them if possible like this, and if possible, something more original, then give it a whirl.
