Description I saw the very first Dexter's Lab cartoon "Changes"

It has the background that look like it was done one of Chuck Jones background Artist, Maurice Noble
The characters and even the gags look like the cartoon was made in the 1940s.

In my opinion, Dexter's Lab seems to be like a revising look on the 1940-50s cartoons.

Oh, Classic DeeDee. How I miss her.

I looked up that episode. It was animated the same way this other Dexter's Lab episode was. If you own an old VHS copy for Cats Don't Dance, it was at the very end of it. It's where DeeDee gets gigantic from eating Dexter's cookies. I always thought THAT was the first ep.

Aww, I loved Deedee. She is, without a doubt, one of the greatest cartoons females to have ever existed.

Still have his autograph- he sat behind me at an animation festival when Chuck was supposed to attend, but couldn't due to a sudden illness.

It's kind of eerie when you find out that somebody famous who you met died.

If you note the referencing to some later material from that, such as Star Wars and The Six Million Dollar Man, I think Dexter's Lab alsos pay homage to a lot of cult films and television from the 1970s and 1980s. Besides, I though the first Dexter toon was self-titled, and was originally show-cased in What A Cartoon. But that maybe me!
Great style applied to a "classic" Dee Dee pose.
