Version 0.5:
BUG FIXES/TWEAKS/REMOVALS
- Fixed an error with the card shop in world 3 not giving the correct cards, which means that every card in the game can now be properly collected!
- Fixed still being able to talk to April during the feeding Anya minigame.
- Fixed a small bug which caused it to rain in Axi's house during the game's final scenes.
- Fixed a sprite error with Anya at the end of the game.
- Fixed a sprite error with some of Lilith's faces.
- Fixed an error in the slot machine minigame which failed to award coins for a specific line of matching symbols, and awarded coins for a specific line of mismatched symbols.
- Fixed the crystals on Belial changing colour when Tick interacts with them.
- Fixed many minor sprite errors in World 5 and throughout the game post World 5.
- Nerfed Overload because it was absurd.
- Not sure what's up with the scene in world 4 where Tick leaves th eparty. If this continues to repeat for people, please let me know.
ADDITIONS AND REVISIONS
- The Guest Room Key is now actually in the game and obtainable after world 4. This should mean that all the cards can be obtained as well!
- Added a secret event in world 4. Again, you'll have to find it for yourself~
- The safe in world 5 is now unlockable, but don't expect any hints on how to bust it open.
- Added a finale to the 'Carrie's Mom' quest between the end of world 6 and the Pit of Nezar.
- The Strange Formula item now adds an additional effect if used twice within 10 seconds.
- Strange Formula can now be stolen from Kira.
- Added a bit of 'fanservice' to the end of the game.
- Upped Linda's bust size because it's Linda.
0.4:
BUG FIXES/TWEAKS/REMOVALS
- Actually fixed Anya minigame not working past worlds 4 and 5.
- Fixed Nimue not actually being able to eat anyone.
- Fixed an error where Axi would be stuck displaying her stepping animation after the secret cutscene in world 4.
- Fixed an error with the right sluice house door after completing world 4.
- Fixed a few minor visual errors.
- Fixed an error where the final boss of Vorth Colosseum did not drop their special weapon when defeated.
- Fixed multiple errors with bosses being vulnerable to one hit KO moves, thus interfering with scripted events and breaking the game.
- Fixed an error in the comlink where the screen would fade out after choosing a specific option, then not fade back in.
- Hopefully fixed the random chance in a few boss fights resulting in never being able to kill the damn boss. (you'll know these when you get to them)
- Fixed the screen not fading back in after certain encounters in Vorth colosseum.
ADDITIONS AND REVISIONS
- Added a secret encounter in World 3. You'll have to discover it for yourself~
- Reaper Strike and Crude Magic are now learnable abilities!
- Tick can now equip Jamie's Panties. Changed Jamie's Panties' effect to avoid breaking boss fights.
- Changed the ability Tick gains from completing the crystal sidequest, again, to avoid breaking boss fights.
- Tweaked Third Wheel's secondary effect, yet again, to avoid breaking boss fights.
- 45 is no longer a learnable ability
0.3:
BUG FIXES
- Fixed Anya minigame not working past Worlds 4 and 5
- Fixed some dialogue in World 3 not updating properly.
- Fixed some cutscene and transfer errors in World 5 (players were able to go back to previous cutscenes due to incorrect transfer commands on some doors)
- Fixed recurring Tick cutscene in World 4
- Fixed the Tick crystal sidequest in World 5 not being completable
- Fixed Arci jumping off the screen if talked to repeatedly (lol)
- Fixed being able to walk through the wall in the World 3 sewers.
- Fixed the party change crystals taking you to Ivy's shop when you try to back out of the menu.
- Fixed miscellaneous dialogue errors and visual bugs.
0.2:
BUG FIXES
- Fixed a bug during battles with Nimrod, Evelyn and Gloriana, and the Pharaoh's Protector, which halted the battle at the end of the first turn.
- Fixed a game-breaking pathing bug in the Tick's House cutscene in world 4
- Fixed miscellaneous errors concerning character portraits, sprites, and pathing.
- Fixed a game-breaking bug in world 5 where restricted movement prevented a cutscene from ending.
ADDITIONS AND REVISIONS
- Tweaked the final boss of World 3 and the first Grosh encounter in world 5 to be slightly less difficult.
- Sample should now be the first ability to activate during the turn, regardless of the character's speed when activating.
- Sample no longer claims 'nothing happened' prior to the enemy's scan info when used.
- Enemies in the flooded ruins can now be scanned to reveal their stats and how many points they are worth.
- Added a miniboss to the Flooded Ruins which can be fought once per entry.

To play: download, extract, click the unicorn chess piece icon called 'game', enjoy.
Controls are: Z= select.
X= Open Menu, exit menus, back button
Shift= hold to run (important, considering some sections will be timed)
F1 = Opens a basic options menu for things like fullscreen, sound control, and gamepad configuration (yep, this works with a controller)
To those who wish to play the Beta:
Please, please, (caps)pleeaaaaase(/caps) let me know if you find any bugs, or what you think might be bugs, as there will certainly be many. That's why this is a beta version. I and a couple others have tested it extensively, but things change as more gets added, and thus there may be some weird errors. To those of you who wish to bug-test, keep a text document as you play, and write down anything that comes off as weird or wrong. When you're finished (or whenever really), send me a note with all the bugs you've found so I can get to work fixing them. Thanks!

Aaah, yeah, I may play around with a program that makes 8-bit or midi music, but that might not suit the game's style sadly

what about using shorter clips, lower bitrate and looping them? or even layering so you're using the same 'parts' but with different leads and rhythm?

Great game. I do have one problem however, somewhere in the Krom'Thor chasm the walking animation freezes. In my case it only displayed the walking up animation no matter whether I walk up down left or right. I tried restarting but that had no effect. Loading a previous save seems to fix it but there has to be another way right?

I don't know if this is a glitch or not but it shows a thin anya at the ending sequence when you beat the minigame instead of a fat one

I like ace a lot better simply because it's more intuitive and has more features, but VX is a perfectly respectable program in its own right.

Idk if this is a bug, but I am on Eris 3F and there is a rock blocking the second lever that won't disappear. I can't seem to find anything else to do either.

Hm. The Anya minigame still isn't working after World 4. One dish shows up to the far right when I start sometimes, but nothing spawns after that. I'm using the same savefile, if that'd affect anything. :/

Yeah, I scrolled up and saw it D: Goshdarnit RPG Maker not saving things!
Besides that, I'm loving the difficulty in most cases. It makes getting through feel rewarding. One thing I'd have to say is that the dark cave explorations feel frustrating, especially early on - the World 1 cave is very dark and I ended up bumping around a lot before finding the actual exit by blind luck. I liked the section where it was pitch black with the bone-weak-ghosts, but in the final world it starts to feel like you're losing progression because you can't choose to light things up (?).
Overall, by World 2-3 I started to get a feel for how you designed the game (lots of exploring, no subtle backtracking) and I'm enjoying it a lot, ESPECIALLY those references. My current party is Axi, shadow mage, red mage, and slug, which probably needs to be changed up to get through World IV's puzzles. I just love collecting spells too much to give up anyone besides red mage, but he's also my primary damage dealer... decisions, decisions. Still need to go back for Moonlight too.

Glad to hear it~ The really really dark caves aren't really meant to be navigated in the dark. Vexus' flash ability is pretty much necessary for those. The exception is the one in world 4, which is just permadark to add to the ambiance :b Though I understand that even the regular caves in world 1 can get pretty dim. With regard to the final world, what do you mean? I don't recall there being anything too dark in the latter areas.
Glad you're getting a feel for it too, and it's nice to hear that people are building their parties in different ways. Gives me a sense that the characters are fairly balanced in that regard~

I don't think this is a GLITCH per se, but in World 1... what do you do after you get control of only Carrie? I found the guy on the roof, and there's a voice inside a wall that I can't seem to interact with, at all. He wants a drink, and I have some magic water, amongst my other items, and I can't give it to him.
EDIT: Ah, nope, nevermind. Had to go door hunting! I found a new room!

From what I played so far, Carrie has to be my favorite fighter, mostly due to the fact that she only uses her fists as weapons (at least a far as I know.) Then I noticed guns being sold at a shop, therefore someone will be able to use them. But who?
I don't know but all those guns makes me think of Revolver Ocelot quotes.

Hey, downloaded the one from your mega link, and it seems the feeding Anya minigame is still bugged. She looks the same as she did after I beat world three, and this time around, only one food icon pops up, and if you proceed normally it'll be a good meal and you can feed Anya once and none of the food icons appear again, or it'll be a dud meal and you can't put it in the trash. Also, during the minigame, if you press Z at the space where April would normally be you can talk to her, despite being invisible.
Also, are the saves compatible with the new version? I tried to copy them over, but when I did and tried my latest save file, I got the end-of-world-5 cutscene bug again.

Well, I guess RPG maker didn't save, because even though I fixed the issue, all the progress I made on it isn't present now. *shrug*
I'm fixing it for good, and it'll be good for the next update :T
