Description ...Quietly pretend I didn't make everyone wait an annoyingly long time for this piece.
^ not my most elegant sentence, but it does start with Q. That's points, right? ...Right?

Seriously, though, sorry this took so long. I had it finished on Monday, but then I kept falling asleep early (work will do that to you) and never found the time to upload it. I've decided to remedy that dilemma. Now we can get on with the alphabet! :'D

Before we do, I'd have your attention for a moment so I can launch into the obligatory production story.
warning: long and self-indulgent wall of text ahead. Read at own risk.
This character was another random pick (I have a lot of luck with those. We're tight like that. We go out every Friday night and hit up all the local soup joints). I liked her, but I was also extremely intimidated by her at first. Why? the eyes . I'll openly admit that of all the areas of human anatomy in which I need practice - which is, as a matter of fact, everything- eyes are among the worst offenders. Eyes and hands, really, but I'm actually studying approaches to drawing hands. My eyes are just a mess, especially more realistic ones. As soon as I Googled Miss Treppe, I knew two things. One: that there was no way I was going to draw lame cartoon eyes on a character whose vibe was so reliant on realism and down-to-earthness. Two: Despite my conviction regarding her supposed vibe, drawing the right eyes for her was not going to be easy.
As I expected, my prediction came true in the most horrific way. I can't tell you just how painful a process it was to draw those peepers you see staring back at you right now, but let me give you a rough idea. The piece as a whole took six hours to complete. That's roughly four hours more than a standard alphabet piece takes. Want to hazard a guess as to what took me four hours longer to draw this time around?
I'm torn on the result. On one hand, I know I gave it my all, and I do think that those eyes are pretty darn nice looking, but on the other hand, I don't feel as though I fully succeeded in what I set out to do: make them indisputably Quistis-y. I compare this to a picture of her, and I don't see the same spark in her eyes. Maybe I'm being too much of a perfectionist, or maybe I'm not placing enough importance in the difference individual style makes.

In either case, at least I can say that I put a ton of effort into this piece like I promised, and not just where the eyes are concerned. My goal in moving through this alphabet thing is partly to do something unique and entertaining, and to create a series that effectively dips its figurative fingers into as many imaginary pies as possible. To accomplish both goals, I'm increasingly eager to include something for everyone, including people who are familiar with certain series and people who enjoy the odd bit of humour thrown in with the spices (I expect that's most of you active watcher types). References, jokes, easter eggs... I try to utilize all of these. The bigger point is that, if I can help it, I'd like this series to not just be another bunch of forgettable fetish pics, but something that a variety of people like and appreciate. Judging by the feedback I've received, I'm not doing too badly. Needless to say, though, you folks are much more vital to this series than I am. Anyone can say 'hey lets draw a girl for each letter of the alphabet durhur', but without outside participation, the 'lets' quickly becomes 'I'll'. That's another thing about this whole idea: I like it and I think it's nice because it cannot function like it does without you. I can throw in a veritable confetti of easter eggs and random goodies, but without your participation, I may as well be pleasing myself. You're what makes these pieces more than a frivolous demonstration of perseverance and egotism. Even if you don't like every letter, you hopefully have some investment in the series. If you do, then I'm that much closer to accomplishing what I set out to do. This bunch of pics may not be super-amazing or aesthetically brilliant -and I'm not exactly a four star artist, to put it lightly- but I'm hoping some people think of them as something special all the same.

Maybe I'm putting too much thought into this series. It's nothing groundbreaking, after all, and it's just belly art, but the way I see it, if I'm going to do something, I'd like to draw something interesting that people will like. Nobody draws to be boring, or at least, I assume they don't. Not intentionally anyway. >.>

Speaking of boring, I salute those of you who read all that, considering you did not need to by any means. I just like to get my thoughts down every so often. Maybe it made for an interesting read? I dunno.

Anyway, you didn't scroll all this way to read until your eyes dry up. You scrolled down to suggest names. Riiiight? :3
I need some R names. Yes, I know there are a lot of awesome characters who start with R, and there are countless good reasons why each should be represented here, but keep in mind that I'm picking randomly again. I'll draw what I get. May luck be with your suggestion.

Oh, and before I forget, this girl is (c) Square, and I don't claim to own her. She's from Final Fantasy 8. I assume that's Square. Please correct me.

No problemo. Judging by the 20 or so comments this has received, finding R names won't be difficult. Picking one or two, on the other hand...

Good work, I couldn't think of anything for Q hehe.

As for R lets start with my favourite, Rayne from BloodRayne.
Next is Rikku from final fantasy
then of course there is Rouge the bat from sonic

ahcool. Still looking for pics of that form, but I will not rest until I find one. I at least have to know what it looks like before I initiate the next random pick. XD

Well in the first Lunar game, you had a white dragon named Nall, if that counts for anything. That seems to be the norm with Lunar although they have yet to make a Lunar game with a baby blue dragon or black dragon companion. Although it makes me wonder what they could do? I mean Nall somtimes revived a person in battle, Ruby had fire powers, I assume the blue dragon would be water related but I wonder about hte black?

Black might be shadow. Then again, I have no idea what the Lunar games would consider as black-aligned magic.

Well I am guessing probably death or gravity going by the games. The black dragon seems to be symbolized with that.
