Description Now in color :3. I forgot to mention last time that the reason why they're labeled as type II, is because this is the second type of Tethican that Earth Military (EUGAD) encountered.

Examples of Type I Tethicans -

New Tethican alien race introduced. A representation of TYPE II male and female Tethicans. Their skin is dark blue black, their fur ranges from silver to white and sometimes red, and their marking are comprised of composite chlorophyll and skin pigment (like Ruga and Loki's markings) but they have red natural coloration on their faces. Male colors and markings are much more prominent and vibrant. Type I and Type II are not friendly with one another and the type II are more hostile. Ruga and Loki are type I. There "were" a total of 5 types.

Also, as Tethicans (all tailed type that is) get older, the males tails will thicken and lengthen, and they will gain more up to 4 eruopods #extra leaf shaped tail pads# where as females only gain 2, and completely lack toxic dermal denticles (poison spines) on the bottom sides of their Telsons #largest tail pad) and the warning color language on the top side like the males have. Type two have evolved similar to type I, with MΓΌllerian mimicry. Both are toxic and have developed similar warning colors but are different. If you think of humans evolving from apes, Tethicans then would have evolved from monkeys and kept their tails. Anything else you want to know about Tethicans feel free to ask.

All Tethican types and the story of Galaxy Magnolia belong to me Rheann Kester aka Hearken Stern aka . That means no touchy CISPA you vulgar lump of excrement.

I took the warning mature label off because I think that the female is covered up enough that you can't really see anything. It's basically like a space bikini.

Do type I and II have two different types of poisons?

Very similar. One is a little worse than the other.

Okay. Because it would suck if rheir neurotoxins had competely different structures... well sucks for humans.

Lol I was looking back on some of your older Tethican background stuff and ran across this. I just though I'd mention an interesting point that scientists discovered a lemur that they're pretty sure we humans actually evolved from, because it has our true thumb. Now I just wish we retained the fluffy lemur tail T.T

That's amazing! Do you have a link to the new species? I so wish we still had lemur tails xD.

I swear I had a coherent response, but it got lost in my reaction of It's so fluffy
The shading style you used here is great; everything looks three-dimensional, but on closer inspection, there seem to be relatively few brushstrokes. And of course, the Tethicans are awesome!

Highly unique and beautiful creatures. I'm impressed by the scientific considerations in the description, you've obviously put a lot of thought into the designs.

Are types I and II (and any other types that might have coexisted) the same species (hybrids are possible, and said hybrids are fertile)?
I love the design on these guys - the dark/light contrast looks really good...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Axolotl-mafia In reply to Bluewyrm [2012-05-06 05:03:39 +0000 UTC]

Type II are another species that can interbreed with Type I, and the other types as well because of a common ancestor that they share. They "could" produce offspring that is fertile as well. Also, thank you . I love dark and light contrasts.
