I don't think of photography as art because for the most part photographers aren't trying to make a statement but this certainly qualifies as art. Every aspect that can be controlled by the photographer -- light, composition, depth of field, contrast -- is perfect. Then there's the model who brings depth and soul. This is a fantastic piece.
