When I was searching one of all the screenshots I like about Impmon in Digimon Tamers, I get with this scene and I get captivated with the detailed background and the interesting shading effects, so I didn't doubt in accepting the challenge to try to reproduce it. I finished making Impmon very easily, but because of the shadows on the screenshot I didn't noticed the lineart on his crossed legs very clearly, so I did my best to make them as similar as possible. But the most difficult (no, the craziest!!) thing of all, was copying and inking the leafs. Painting the tree demanded me a lot of patience, specially because the artist who have painted the original background for the series used a technique that looks more like watercolor and Indian ink, and the effect of the color pencils looks rougher. The step I enjoyed the most was adding the highlights on Impmon's skin and scarf. After all that detailed work, this one is now one of my favorites.

I liked the title, inspired in the original scene, in which Impmon is watching secretly at how Guilmon and Takato's friends are playing in the lagoon, and the opinion he had about them.

A funny fact about the creation of this image is that I copied it from a videoclip I've done about Impmon in my iPod Touch. As I've got to keep the video paused on that scene, I couldn't listen to any music. My mom and grandma was watching a movie on the other room with the open door, so I was listening to "Spiderman 2" xD!! Oh my, all of those screams, watching the movie should be a little more entertaining that listening to it!!
