I have to say that I am loving this merdude trend. I may have to do one as well. I echo the sentiment about the scales, and honestly... the rock and the water. In my opinion, they're possibly the strongest part. My eye is drawn immediately to the contrast and detail in them.

Yeah I started following them not too long ago-- I went on a hunt for pixelers that I could follow so I could see how to improve my own skills. ;D! Gotta look at the greats (like yourself! ;D)
