Description
A scene from an Artemis Fowl fanfiction of mine. A flashback of Holly and Minerva's first meeting after Taipei 101, and after the onset of Artemis's illness.
I'll admit it, the main reason I wanted to draw this scene was the bull troll can. I bought a Monster (for the first and only time in my life) for reference, I was that serious.
*I later redrew Holly in 2018; I still don't know how to draw her, but as I'd almost learned how to draw faces by then, I think it's a little better. The design for Holly's hairstyle comes from the design from the new Artemis Fowl covers, which I'm just a little obsessed with: www.artemis-fowl.com/2018/08/0…

The first thing I thought when I saw this picture (after "agh! Holly and Minerva! Stuff is gonna go doowwnnn") was how good the composition was! You're really improving

The lines of the floor tiles also direct your eye into the room and towards Minerva, too, so that makes for good movement. And it's a well balanced composition.

Hey dear (; Ah! I didn't notice that...(again, I toss perspective in there and don't think about anything else. X3) Perspective as a way to control eye movement, now that you bring it up, I think I'm going to try to consciously remind myself of that. That would be a good technique to insert in with my particular normal tendencies, I think. (If that even makes any sense. XD)
