History:

Lupin’s parents were in an arranged marriage, resulting in his birth. However, neither parent loves him, nor each other. This meant his mother constantly had… “friends” over at the house and kept as much of a distance from Lupin as possible. His father on the other hand was away as often as possible.
Before Lupin was born his parents had an agreement with Master (title, but eventually was just what he was known as) who owned and ran a freak show, that when the Lycan child was old enough he would go with Master for a number of years. Unfortunately Master died in accident so his replacement, Boss (Lyhn’s Adoptive Father) maintained the agreement and housed Lupin for a few years… much to Lyhn’s unhappiness.
So- he’s grown up in Canada most of his life- but his mother and most of the people he’s interacted with is American… so very light accent.

Other Important Information

Full Moon

Being Lycan means a special connection to the moon. A few days before the full moon, Lupin’s 5 senses sharpen causing him pain, dizziness, and constant annoyance. He’s really grumpy and irritated during these times casing him to snap at people.
During the night of the full moon he transforms into his Lycan form. As he’s not an “adult” yet he cannot control himself and is highly unpredictable, violent, and blood-thirsty. In order to keep people he cares about safe- he travels to a ‘safe’ location for the night.
As he gets older, the time he remains transformed is increased every year. Right now he remains transformed 3 hours after the moon sets. The day after the full moon he comes back from wherever he ends up, usually it’s different every time. He is exhausted and will sleep for a few days afterwards wherever he happens to fall asleep.

Lycan Species

Lycans have three forms, their human forms, their wolf forms, and their Lycan forms. Between the ages of 4-10 they learn to transform into the wolf forms for the first time. After they hit puberty they unwillingly transformed into the Lycan forms. After a Lycan reaches adulthood they eventually have the ability to control their Lycan forms and can transform when they want to- the full moon not affection them… as much. A few individuals never learn to control themselves.
Lycans are forbidden from mixing with humans as the “mixed” breeds are the ones whom the werewolf legends originate with, completely uncontrollable monsters. If a human has some Lycan DNA, they will be able to transform during the full moon after being bitten by a full-blooded Lycan. (Thus the whole biting thing) However, said humans will never be able to control their forms and will forever deal with the full moon problem.
