thank you I don't think I'm very good with hand positions. I dunno if anyone every really noticed but I tend to use the same five or six hand positions quite a bit. If I don't use my standards I often look at my own hand like Irene said she does. But my uncle told me to draw a circle or oval depending on if you're making the hand open or closed then place a smaller circle where the thumb is to be located. Think of it as the same way you use the sketch lines on the face to position the nose and eyes. I'll post a quick doodle if you would like.
