the okapi is the only living relative of the girraffe, possibly what a primitive girraffe looked like. okapi are shy and reclusive, discovered only in 1901 or so because they live hidden deep in central africa's forests.Related content

at the miami zoo they have okapi
i'm sure they are in many other zoos too of course
but at miami the animals are not in cages
