The top part of the blossom where she's sitting is really rather soft. Where she's resting her feet the petals and stuff start to get really stiff, and the points start getting sharp, but if you don't touch the points themselves, you won't get hurt at all. The rest of the plant, below the stem, is all thorny and hurty and stingy. Really, it's a perfect place for a fairy to take a rest, as she's rather protected by the thorny nature of the flower itself, and it's 'sting' as it's a stinging nettle, but has a nice place to sit, with nothing overhead to hinder flight when she's ready to leave. and if something were to try to eat or catch her from above, she could fit down between the leaves at ground level until whatever it was moved on to something else.

Actually, yes. There are 2 other versions of this image in my gallery, 1 with a larger view of what is around her in the photo, the other on the original 'card' back that the pokedex club, for Gijinka (humanized) pokemon used. But she was so pretty...I couldn't leave her as just that, with the boring purple card back behind her. So she got placed on a flower, too. ^-^
