I've been in an internship for seamstressing and sewing, and have been working on my plushie construction skills. I did three variant mock-ups to get the pattern for this rattie plushie, and am rather pleased at how he turned out. I intend to do several variants, with some made from fleece and felt like this one, and some made from fake fur. I also want to do some work with dying the fleece and fur to get some patterned rats, and hooded fancy rats, and so on. Soon I will make Sir Rat as well, complete with monocle, top hat, and opera cape.Related content

I'm working on dye techniques so I can do hooded ratties and other coat markings without piecing bits together, which is obnoxious. I do intend to put up hooded ratties soon. I have to do one of my Mamabear next.

They are approx. 14 inches high, so pretty big.

Oooh... Oh! And i have a challange for you if i do commission you for a plush, i have a rat with a deformed tail, it is curled and bunched, you can see him in this [link] when he was a teeny baby, would you be able to do that?

Omg CUTE. And yes, I think I could do that. I've been working on wiring the tail, and if I cut it on a curve to begin with and then use the wire to bunch it, I think that would work.

I've got to scan it, and fix the one size issue that I keep having. The bottom piece isn't quite right on the pattern, so I've had to trim down the fabric so it fits properly to the tail end, but yeah, as soon as I figure out how to scan it on my teeny thing, I can write it up. I love to share the rattie love!
