I drew this one for the art noveau exhibition, I will take part in together with . It will start end of January and I have some more artworks to draw for it.This is my RPG-character AycolΓ©n, an elven mage and thief. I love to draw him, because he is my very first RPG character. His partner Luca will get an portrait in this style too...
This time I wanted to try a new style, which is much clearer than my previous artworks. It didn't take that long, finishing it, because I didn't had to put much efford to his hair. I still like it very much, it's kinda more art noveauish than my previous artworks.

Allgemeine Aufteilung: das haarmuster von weitem ist ein guter eyecatcher, schwierig find ich hingegen den harten rand um die kreise herum. mir fehlt hier das spiel mit dem kontrast(auslaufende pkte ins schwarz hΓ€tten zb. diese wirkung)
durch den schwarzen kontrast sticht es auf jeden fall heraus

Maske stimmt alles
gesicht ein leichter verzug in den augen (hier stimmt die persp. nicht)
nase ok
mund oberlippe ist im vergleich zur unterlippe zu klein(sieht man am besten von weitem)- ist aber Geschmackssache
unterhalb des Adamsapfels fehlt der schatten
halsschmuck ok

Technisch:
talent bringst du mit, scheinst aber proportionstechnisch noch schwierigkeiten zu haben ΓΆ_ΓΆ da hat mit ein Γlmaler einmal den tip geg. ich sollte mir eine Superillu grapschen und die SchΓ€delstrukturen auf die Photos durchzeichen ~

You are right... the eyes are not all right... they aren't well aligned. The frame isn't digital... everyting about it has been made by hand, even the frame and the filling of it. Actually the frame has taken most of the time in drawing it.

Thanks a lot. The patterns have been drawn by hand. You can say these are very small circles. As you may imagine it took me long to finish the patterns, much longer than the character himself.

For some reason it doesn't look right to me. I don't know. Maybe I'm just a bit OCD over it or something. Those swirly hair bits are, to me, hard to make. I have to look up loads of reference.
