Leon returns to Jill and finds her unconscious. After futile attempts to wake her, Leon hears several C.O.R.D.I.S. guards heading for their position. With no time to think, Leon pulls Jill into his arms and makes a fast escape, but not before encounting a shady friend first.

Shortly after RE5, Chris and Jill are dropped off back in the States. Sheva and Josh return to Africa to help clean up Wesker's mess. However, Chris and Jill go missing soon afterward. No one hears from any of them. Meanwhile, Leon heads to Austria because, with some help of his government and anti-Umbrella buddies, he catches wind of an old Umbrella train that is still in use there. With Spencer and Wesker dead, Umbrella's influence is hanging by a thread, and Leon heads to Austria, hoping to cut Umbrella's final grip on this world.
