Oooh, lovely texture on the background! And it's nice to see you're working with digital art as well, and I'm sure this is only the start (and a great one, since no matter how difficult you found imo it's still quite beautiful!). The shading especially, which I always found to be the hardest part starting out, looks very smooth and the colors have a wonderful brighteness to them.
Excited to see more from you now, if you ever decide to revisit the medium!

At least I'm trying to, I'm starting to find digital art quite entertaining since mostly I was hissing at my tablet every time I tried to plug it in to my PC. XD

Ok but same here, I never was as skilled as you at traditional but it was a hard change when I started digital. Plus at first I didn't have any idea what style I had so every single drawing looked like it was made by someone different
I'm sure your digital pieces will only get better! You already started on a great foot and it excites me to see what you'll do next!

but it's definitely not easy, I srsly spent a whole day on this piece and even then I was still not satisfied with it and I spent next two days editing it. XD I'm still trying to do stuff more painterly but since I've never done that even traditionally, I was experimenting through the whole piece lol.
The thing that helped me was colouring the sketch under its layer, merging the sketch and colour layers and then smoothing everything out so I basically did everything on one layer, except for background lol. I was always thinking that digital artists use so many layers and then I saw an artist on youtube using only one layer for painting and one for bg and I was like what???? you can do that??????? wooah. That's like only two layers, how do you do that, I thought digital art is all about 5000+ layers, omg.
As a mainly traditional artist, layers scare me.

ohh so working one layer, yeah I used to do most of my digital arts in one layer, because I had no idea layers were a thing back then
don't think there's a correct way how to do digital, some people use a lot of layers some don't, really up to you
your traditional pieces are awesome as well~
