We were talking about pairings in a SSB roleplay ._., and she said it... xD and I drew it... and I died inside.

Samus is also 'so short' because she's only 5'3" XD and supposedly Link is between 5'10" and 6'1" somewhere, and Zelda is taller than him. XD Ta-da~ short Samus is short. x3

What are your sources for heights? Link's hella short, 5'4. And Samus was 6'3, not 5'3.

But anyway...

What are YOUR sources for heights? xD I got Samus' from the Metroid Wiki, she's 6'3" in her Varia armour, but it makes her considerably taller. She's 5'3" not in it. And Link, I'm going of basic Elven heights. I know that link was short, but I was thinking he was short by elf-standards. More along the 5'10" range. Either way, Zelda wasn't just a little taller than him. x3 she was quite a bit taller than him. Even as children. But meh~

Sorry to bring up a conversation that was dead in the water, but I have to second Rialdospaldacht on Samus' height.  Game Theory's research put Samus around 6'3" and 198 lbs outside of her suit (she pretty much fills the whole thing out so it's more like armor and less like a mech suit).  Then again, she also used to be a redhead and brunette, so I guess they've changed things about her over time...Still kinda prefer her at 6'3" but who cares?

Everything you said about, Zelda, however seems spot-on and even Game Theory put her and Link at the heights you were going off of.  In any event, it's actually kinda interesting to see Zelda as the taller one.  I prolly wouldn't go looking for it all the time, but it's definitely the reason I clicked on the thumbnail to this pic.

Well, that and Samus and Zelda together.  Sorry to disagree, but I actually like these two together...Visually anyway.  Story-wise, it wouldn't make any sense.  Although...they do have similar personalities and dedication to their goals.

Mm, information definitely has changed about Samus' size, for sure, over time. As old as the Metroid series is, the fact that she's 6'3" is relatively(a few years? Probably more... xD) new information o3o; Either way, I realize now, that it's her height. When I drew this, I hadn't actually looked at recent information on her. x3 
Glad you found it interesting enough to click anyways. x3 I'm not entirely fond of the pairing myself, it was for someone else, so yeh. xD Though it's nice, as you said, visually, I suppose. x3

The 6'3 was in the suit? Huh. I didn't think it specified, and going with the 198 pounds, it'd make more sense for HER to be the 6'3 one. She must be filled with lead.

As for Link, my source is an offhanded comment in an interview with Miyamoto back during OoT, which is backed by the diving measure thing in the Lakeside Lab. And Zelda's shorter than him in OoT, go check them out again.

Of course, all of this only applies to OoT, but! Being the nerd I am, and a stickler for accuracy in those kinds of things, I used Ganondorf as my reference from there. He's about nine feet in OoT (hard to get a solid measure of him), and logically, being the same man, he'd be the same height in TP. Using that, and this chart:

Link ends up within an inch of his OoT height, so that seems about right. I reverse it from there and assume that TP Link is still 5'4 to get a more specific 9'2 for Ganondorf. But anyway, that would make OoT's Zelda about 5'2ish (same issue as OoT Ganondorf), and TP Zelda 5'7.
