I've yet to play my Omega Ruby game but I've heard the game corner has been removed altogether in that remake.
Sure gambling can be unhealthy for some people but come on Gamefreak having some slots in a pokemon game is not gonna make a kid go and waste his allowance.

Voltorb Flip really was making me getting too distracted from my real game, taking away all the fun...

Ayyk92, I know how you feel. When I first got to Goldenrod I said "SWEET!!! Time for some slots!!!" I burst through the door and was like "WTF is this shit?!? It's like minesweeper but with PokΓ©mon!!!" and I thought, "Okay, no need to panic, Nintendo probably got a complaint or two of too many gambling issues in kids. Celadon City will have what I need. After all, two casinos with slot machines would be a bit monotonous. They just put a bit more variety is all. ONWARD TO CELADON!!" I get there...

Still can't just BUY coins...that's what I did for the most part. I'd play the slots just when I was a little under the amount I needed for something. If I hit rock bottom, I could earn more money, then transfer that into coins...you can't even do THAT anymore.
