This will finish up the "wayback" theme I've been going on, and it's not done in the same manner as the previous ones--Clearly, this one is in color. It's in color to emphasize how serious the situation is, as well as to set it apart from the others, because this is pre-comic material. Preludes, don't you know.

It depicts part of the long and painful history between Amanda and Lupo.. In fact, if this hadn't of happened, then the war (and therefore the comic itself) would not exist; Amanda would have stayed in Mucca with Lupo, who would have killed Anarkis anyway, and then the two of them would rule the world (that's right, 'Manda was a hair away from being a bad guy! hurr). However, it did happen, and this is why: Anarkis told Lupo about the two reasons why she wanted Amanda to be in her possession years ago. I won't say them here, that may spoil something. Anyway, after she informed him, Lupo's temper took over, and instead of being the nice mentor to Amanda as he had become, he reverted back to when he was an abusive, cruel trainer to her. This was all because he couldn't deal with his feelings toward her. It all came to a head one night, and he took out his feelings and aggression on her, cutting her to ribbons, causing her to hate him and run away from Mucca. Presto, story really begins.
But before he let his anger get the better of him, he begged for her to forgive him for what he was about to do.. something she has been unable to do.

Shown here is a snippet of that night, right before he uses that knife on her This is also where she gets her scars (except for the ones on her face). So yeah, it's a pretty dark picture.

But I'm proud of it.. a lot of work went into the story itself, as well as the picture, so..
