Okay, so far, as you can see, Roxanne has hinted that Sammy's mother has went ahead and called Roxanne to ensure that Sammy goes to Rustboro University. Roxanne is using that, PLUS her authoritative status to end Sammy's adventure prematurely. But as you can see, Sammy finds a very simple, but effective, loophole. Thank God for loopholes!!And who's that at the Pokemon Center? May!! It's been so long since I last drew her ~
Just to point out, just in case anyone gets confused, Marine is MAY's Wingull. She is not Sheeba, neither does she belong to Sammy. Just wanted to make that point crystal clear.
Also, you see that May mentioned something about the Beast? Don't know what the Beast is? That's okay, Sammy is quite clueless about it too ^^ May will fill us in on the details, in this page and the next. So, I can finally bring back the Prologue!! Remember that?
Remember how unfamiliar it was to the context of the story? Well, I'm referring to the prologue that I had made quite a while ago, as it is quite relevant to it. Didn't make it for nothin'.

Ahhhhh time for Plot (tm)! I'm honestly so hyped to learn what Sammy has to do with The Beast.
Bernie and Joseph's rivalry gives me life, though right now it's looking like they might tear each other apart before Roxanne gets the chance...

Yep, it's plot (c) time again ^^ I'll try to keep it at as basic as possible, so as to not slow down the pace of the comic with too much plot this early in the run

I get you! Exposition is boring to do in comics and animation (which is why I tend to stay away from it even though it's easy to write).

If this were animated, it'd be more like... stroking the blade to make sure it was sharp enough

It's a perfectly normal thing, that patting. Like, nothing can possibly go wrong if you loving pat a blade sharp enough to split heads open.
