RoMi Husher is a founding member of Head Count. The group's bills are paid by her riches from her long-gone days of adventuring for hire, and the basement of her clothing store in Arkaden Tarnet serves as a base of operations for when the team is off Earth. She also happens to be a dragon... Sort of.

The legend goes that RoMi's bloodline was "cursed" by the two-headed Terror of Epistello. All descendants of the dragon-killer Mortareus Venix are born as conjoined twins with draconic features to their bodies - that includes RoMi's own mothers Nadine and Dianne, and her grandfathers Ephraim and Farrell before them - as a reminder of Venix's cruelty, and a means to rob him and his family of their once astounding spellcasting powers. RoMi grew up believing this meant the Terror was looking for a new host through whom to reincarnate, and that her ability to transform into a full dragon when angered, as well as her having a singular shared consciousness rather than Rowena and Mikaela being totally separate people, meant she would be chosen. But now, as an adult with some life experience under her belt and a much-appreciated support network of friends, RoMi knows the truth: If the distinct spirit of a dragon ever existed inside of her, it too was never a separate being. It was as much a part of her as the twins are a part of each other, and it didn't desire revenge. And she could choose to symbolically end the ancient blood feud that her family's bodies represented, by having her human and dragon parts work together as one.

RoMi no longer has to hide her emotions for fear of starting a rampage. She can turn her so-called "curse" to whatever ends she wants, even if it's just to goof around and have an excuse to walk outside barefoot.
