I'm a fan of that comic myself, but I never really enjoyed the designs of Celestia and Discord undercover. Discord looked too cartoony. I don't really mind Jay Fosgitt's already very cartoony style, but Discord just went way overboard, sticking out like a sore thumb. Celestia is kinda the opposite, being too boring. I know, that's me complaining about something that really isn't a problem, since "Boring and unassuming" was kinda what Discord was going for, but I never really liked it. I think it has something to do with her mane. It kinda looks like she's bald, with the exception of her forelock. This version looks far better in my mind. Discord's baldness takes a bit away from the appeal, but that's from the original, so what'cha gonna do (Pony baldness done well is a very rare sight, even in the show). Giving Celestia a full head of tagl (Norwegian, and sounds way better than "horsehair") makes her far pleasing to look at, and the slight hint toward pink instead of purple makes her slightly less unassuming, like this might actually have been how Celestia would look as a pegasus. Either way, great work.
