Second draw now, i made a challenge to myself to doodle a lot everyday and draw something every week.This is my take on how Peridot would change after some time with Steven.
About the design: In my headcannon, if Peridot join the CGs she will still pass some time with her actual appearance just learning. After falling in battle (Since she still don't know how to summon her weapon) Peri will reform with a different hair (Diamond-shape no more, and the star-shape belongs to Lion, so i decided to make a more feminine mad scientist hair), more curvy human lines (Result of her time with Steven and people of Beach City), and a exposed arm (Result of one of the robotic arms being broken in battle, i like the theory that Peridot truly hands and legs are hidden in her suit). Also the little robot is one that Steven messed up and became sentient, his name is S.H.A.R.D. (Super Helpful Adamant Robot Dude), thanks to GlassGamerGalFTW for the name idea!!
What your guys think? Cannon worthy? Bad?
Next week: I am sketching Desert Glass! , the first Cleopatra in SU universe, mad with power, imprisioned for eternity, and a true rival for Lapis!!

I like the design a lot, especially the hair. It compliments her mechanical design while being more human.
I'm not sure I buy the the Redemption thing - it seems a bit too easy to do and kinda undermines the theme they have going of the Gems being callous and scary - even the Crystal ones seem to have a lot of issues with empathy, and have clearly been party to some of the nasty stuff (as we'll possibly see).
That said, there's basis for it.

I know what you mean, people just want for her to have a instant redemption and joining in the same episode, this is impossible. For Peridot to even join it will need lot of character development, she will have to discover all the truths Yellow Diamond have been hiding from Homeworld, then she will need some time with Steven and a lot of time to gain the CGs trust, it's possible but really complicated, i think the crewniverse will just keep her as villain, but since Sugar is a fan of One Piece i like to think more gems will join the "crew" eventually.

Yeah, it's something they'd probably do over an entire season or at least a few episodes. Peridot (and Jasper - if I can justify Peridot eventually switching, I can probably accept Jasper too) has a lot of implied issues given how she's portrayed, and it'd be silly if they'd all been swept aside so she can become a hero.
Villains becoming protagonists is a pretty common convention. And Steven really has his Nanoha hat on sometimes.

Her hair reminds me of the Centipeedle's, and I mean that as a compliment. She looks so much more relaxed than her Homeworld self, I like it! Nice job indeed.

That's the plan, her time on earth should change her, but that's only if she really joins the CGs, maybe we're going to have this surprise on Steven Bomb 2.

I hope we do, I want her to join so badly. I think she'll be the first out of the Homeworld Gems to reform, assuming that Steven can convince Lapis to join as well.
