So, this here is my entry to =Feri-san 's contest .

So, for my redesigned Link, I tried to keep it relatively close to the original, but also keeping to the principles of "Unnecessary Doodads" and "Rummage Sale Reject" . And now, I have to explain my choices.

-Tattoos over his eye: It's supposed to look like an inverted Triforce. In any case, he needed to look more badass.
-Hat: This is was simply made to look nice. The old cap just looked really bland. I mean, it was like some sort of green sock or something. Now it's got a feather!
-Earrings: Why not?
-Shoulder Guard: Well, the shoulders of my creations always seem rather bland and it's not like you want to injure your shoulder. It's based off Link's shield from the Ocarina of Time. Sort of. This has more spikes.
-Elbow Pads: Okay, maybe Link does hurt his elbows a lot. And then he wants to hurt people with his elbows.
-Gloves: Enh, it just looked cooler this way.
-Boots: All right, whenever I draw something, I always start on the head, then work from there. By the time I reach the feet, I'm tired and make some boring shoes. But not this time!
-Master Sword: Well, I didn't want to make it look too ornate. I suspect it would be harder to use then.
-Master Shield (or whatever it's called): You can't really see it, since it's on his back. But let me tell you, it would be so awesome it would blow your mind!
-Triforces: I suspect Link would want to keep a lot of Triforces around. You know, maybe he'll be in a mystical dungeon or something, and then it will require a Triforce-shaped key, and then he'd be like "Oh, if only I had a Triforce to open this door with!".
-Battle Damage: Well, you can hardly expect Link to have fought all that time without hurting himself, right?
