Description
I made a little work area for my rotary tool to contain flying debris. I'm all for anything that makes cleanup easier. Decided I wanted to make one for working on the zelda project I've got going currently plus I also want to start carving a lot of various things and this should make life easier. The lighting turns out to be perfect for being such a simple concept.Made from a cardboard box, a piece of plexiglass I picked up as free scrap from a lumber yard, and some duck tape as well as a florescent light I had.
The plexi lid is tape hinged, and it took no time to put together. It'd be really easy to make a vacuum port and to add some flexible material around the opening for a better seal. I may do that.

sometimes "a need" makes as to be more creative. I never needed such thing and small metal parts and other derbis just messed all over the workshop.
But this little carton thingy is just cute. and keeping rotary key-tool on chain is great. simple ideas are best.
"where the hell is that deamn small shit?"

Yeah I decided I wanted to use my rotary tool in my room sometimes so I made the box cause I like to keep my room clean. Its nice not needing to wear goggles, not that I wear them usually anyway lol. But anyway, in the shop the mess just goes everywhere for me too and I just sweep it up occasional : P

Heh...I need one of those. I actually got into a huge fight with my parents today because I used my rotary tool to cut a piece of a board in the house. To top it off, their reasoning was incredibly stupid, AND it was something that they asked me to do for them.

Nice design, I've been thinking of doing something like that so I can run my dremel in my apartment without making an absolute mess. Have you actually used it yet? If so how well does it work out of curiosity.

So far so good. After adding a few clear tape flaps at the opening only about .01% of the dust and stuff gets out. So pretty good.
