I usually don't like to do fanart, but I just love Derpy Hooves that much. Plus, I needed a new avatar anyways. You are welcome to use this avatar for yourself. However, please please please point people to my page if they ask where it came from! Also, I don't read any fanfiction, so I don't know if someone came up with a title for the mail service yet or not. Pony Express is pretty obvious, I know, but I think it's effective.1/8/12 EDIT: Made the lettering look lots better with a little magic and some help from Photoshop Elements.

First of all, I suggest skipping the first two episodes of MLP:FIM. They VERY rarely mention anything that happened in them and honestly, they just seemed like mediocre episodes to give an excuse to explain why the main cast became friends. Anywho, Derpy Hooves is a background character from the first episode. As an accident or as a joke one of the layout artists drew one eye up and one eye down. The fans did not miss this detail and dubbed her "Derpy Hooves". Her obsession with muffins sprouts from an episode wherein you can hear her only spoken line in the series so far, "Muuuufiinnssss" albeit amongst a gaggle of other similar comments from other ponies. The mail pony concept came from a fanfic. For further detail, I suggest you visit Derpy Hoove's Wikipedia page. Hope that helps!
