Dissidia Art Contest v3.0A year ago I entered an art contest on the Dissidia message boards on Gamefaqs. My contribution to the contest can be found here [link]
On 09/30/09, Dachimotsu announced his third art contest, complete with new rules and added judges.
My entry for this contest is of Cain (Kain) Highwind from Final Fantasy IV and is being submitted to category three.

3. Nomurano Art: This is probably the most challenging category. You are to create a full view Dissidia-esque portrait of a Final Fantasy character not in Dissidia. Heroes face to the left, villains face to the right. The designs should be heavily based on any original concept art the character may have, preferrably Amano art. If the design makes the character unrecognizable, try mixing designs (like what was done with Bartz). Images should look professional, and be in full color.
*note: I don't know Kana or whatever at all, but for the sake of making it look similar to the character profiles on the official site, I included it. How it was written was taken directly from whatever source I found. If it's wrong, shoot me now.

I hope there's a sequel, Kain's in it and that he's a hero. But I want them to keep most of the characters they have not just put new ones in.

It came out of no where didn't it? I was in shock when I went on Gamefaq's Dissidia board several weeks ago and saw a thread about a Dissidia 2 scan. And who happened to be on that scan but my fave FF character Kain!!! And now we find out the game will be out next year!!!

He is in the sequel! Dissidia Douciem is the sequel and lightning and Kain have been confirmed to be in it

I know!!! I'm so excited. Also Tokyo Game Show is this Thursday and they're supposed to be showing it off so hopefully we'll get some more good information on it.
Wow, but it came out of nowhere didn't it? I thought they'd make a sequel, but I didn't think it would be this soon. It was the last thing I was expecting.

Yeah, people are saying they might have some gameplay footage ready to show. And hopefully they'll reveal some more new characters!!!!
It's Thursday-Sunday so keep your eyes open. Gamespot has a page for the convention.
And Gamefaqs' Dissidia Duodecim board has been up for a few days. [link] The old Dissidia 1 board is where I first saw the scan with Kain and Lightning, so I try to check with the new board so I don't miss anything.
