The story that I see behind the gardens is a mystery it feels like something is hiding in the background waiting to surprise you when you let your guard down , the color and vision are beautiful done giving life to scene but I feel that something is missing from it I can't tell what it is for some reason I guess I'll never know. The gorgeous crystal flower with the beautiful lake? The sad-looking old-man rock spewing water below? Why is he so sad, looking at the pair of lovers below? Are they to encounter some tragically ill fate? And that rounded-rock man there, the fishbowl belly is such an interesting concept that catches the eye! But why does he, too, look so sad as he stares at the rock in his hand? That sad expression is really brought out by his enormous downwards mouth and his bright eyes, and suddenly even the moss on his back seems ominous. As you admire the beautiful garden, you notice more sinister details, such as the gates made of vines, or the red eyes at the side of the tree. What is the dark secret of this deceptively idyllic garden?

I love the details, the story, the color... The little rock guy sitting by the pond, sadly contemplating the small rock in his hand, makes me wonder what about the small stone is making him so unhappy, and the goldfish in his belly caught my eye! I like the contrast of all the growing plant life throughout the scene to the one crystal tree on the side of the pond, and it makes me wonder at the red open wound on the tree with the purple clematis-like flowers. It looks to be a place I would enjoy taking a look around, maybe finding out what is in the cage in the cave under the waterfall. All in all I would say I enjoyed this work very much.

That's beautiful. A vibrant palette, a touch of surreality in the perspective and the subjects, and depth in the detail... great work.

There are drawings that tell a story, and this one certainly seems to have an amazing story to tell. And you are left wondering which is the true story behind this garden.
