Maneki-neko is a japanese statue featured outside the shops of many establishments also known as the Beckoning Cat or a Wish Cat they are said to bring good luck to anyone who keeps them in there home or business. There are many iterations of the story but most involve a cat who wondered in off the street and was taken in by a business owner who had little to give the cat grateful for this would stand in front of the shop beckoning in business for the man

This pony is based off the Maneki-neko with a coin on her forehead a sign of the wealth she may bring to other ponies around her and, a bell to catch the attention of ponies ushering them into the business.
