Because I can. ^__^But don't they look nifty? ...Yeah, yeah, drow are like, pretty near the antithesis of samurainess, especially in D&D, but can't we pretend?
This is also a pretty old picture, but I still really really like it. This was drawn right before I had one of my shifts in style, but it's still pretty close to my current style...
The actual inspiration for this was a picture I saw a loooong time ago of one of the Mashou (I forget which one) from YST (that's Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) in a yukata with a spider-web design. I thought, "You know, that looks pretty cool. Hey you know what else would be cool? Drow samurai!" ...and so it was.
Bad, bad Azy...

Drow: AKA Dark Elf. At one time, All of elvenkind were alike. But then some of them started to worship evil Dieties ( namely the one that would become Lloth). Those evil elf's made war on their good breathern, but were later driven into the bowls of the earth ( the Underdark ). They now wage wars against the other Underdark races, the surface races ( usualy by raids ), and each other. Their society is a twisted mockery of normal cities where the only rules are obedence to Lloth( and her preisthood ), gain power at any cost ( this usualy ends up as inter-house warfare, or seizing any chance to " prune the family tree" ), and if you don't get caught, it didn't happen.
But I really like this pick.

You really are brave for adding a background to the character since it helps to situate the world they are in. I say this because backgrounds scares me the most. I love how you made the poses on the characters. Hm...what does drow means?

...Dude, backgrounds totally used to scare me. Now... Well, they're hard, and it's hard to think of a good one, yanno? But... Sometimes, you just have to go with it.
...Drow, for the record, are evil elves. XD From D&D. It's involved, and complicated, but... Suffice to say, most of them are evil. XD ..But the mental image was too much fun, so I had to draw it.
