2014 coffee on Fabriano paperArt teachers often use coffee in their classes to teach children about values in painting.
Captain Morgan was rescued from a shelter by my friend Paola. The dog was once used to train pit bulls by a dogfighting ring. I took the photo without Paola's knowledge, did the painting and gave it to her for Christmas. She was amazed and grateful.

Captain Morgan was totally pampered until Paola had a baby and the dog became more like a home furnishing than a member of the family.
I haven't seen them for a couple of years. I understand Paola has since given birth to twins, so I wonder what Captain Morgan's role is, unless it's to go poop outside twice a day and have other dogs bark. A dog needs a job. Poor Captain Morgan!
