Just checked out the video. Notice how there's no drummer? What a voice Steve Marriott had! The album "Smokin'" was part of the soundtrack of my senior year in highschool, usually blaring from my friend's '68 Ford Mustang.

I'm at a considerable disadvantage when writing because my laptop is broken and I need to use the tablet, which is a torture for me. The tiny keyboard is a bad fit for my fat fingers and the autocorrect must be monitored constantly because it anticipates what it thinks I want to say.
All the poems and songs i posted had to be transcribed on the tablet which took a long time.
I am working on a permanent solution to my computer problem and I expect soon I'll be able to regale you with more frequent and substantive messages. I am also blessed/cursed with a shitload of classes suddenly which has cut into my painting and social life.

I have been listening to a lot of 80s lately but I need to get back to TOOL, especially since I still haven't listened to Aenema. I get stuck on 10000 Days. Keenan is all over the internet lately, I suppose to tease the new upcoming release.

Well, yes, we've been waiting (I think) twelve years for the 'new' album, which is about to be released so it's all a buzz right now, understandably.
I am hoping it will be outstanding, considering they have apparently thrown away ten albums worth of songs to get it done. They don't need to tease if they do it'll be to take the piss, we want this stuff, they don't need to tell us we do or advertise and everyone knows it. I guess the label might have different ideas, but that will be as rote.
I suggest going on a Tool binge in the next two weeks and then get in on the new youtube videos and what have you with 'us', the fans, it's not often, these days, that anyone shares in a collective consciousness of something, especially something with true art, skill, passion, and integrity...back in the day we all watched the same t.v. shows at the same time, and we felt it, I felt it, all the time. Now, we are all consuming independently, we lost a lot when we lost that. Is what I'm getting at.
